Yes the top 40 is back for another year and with a really good membership of our Hogg group, this chart should be a close record of the best teams in the Hogg. If you are racking up the points but not on the chart, just click on the link in my sig to join the group. Kudos to @raymond as his Adelaide Crows are the first number one of the year. The Crows were atop the scoring a few years ago but lost thier way in recent seasons but they look set for a big year this season with that start. Our leading lady at the moment is Ugly Ducklings who have learnt to fly so far this year. Many of the usual suspects are in there but full marks to a team that struggles at Divvy II level Cobras for an excellent start while Division V outfit Trades of Glory has surpassed many teams with much better reputations.

Every year our family league (The Piglet Shield) gets a little tougher to win and this year is no exception. The Piglets are flying at the moment with three Piglet Shield coaches in the top four in the Hogg. Yes it helps when you get Poon to join (he still hasn't won) but teams like Cobras and especially Trades of Glory are exceeding expectations. Highest new entrant this season is another Piglet team PorterGuns while the number one ranked side from the first two rounds pulled a clanger and dropped to number 10. Roosters dropped 7 spots while Trades of Glory had the big rise of 24 spots.

Another week another new number one as Slothy has taken over at the top of the chart from our leading lady Underdogs. The Premier League sides are off to a slow start with only three HPL sides in the top ten in the first month. With many leagues only starting this week we saw some teams fire up their scoring for the first time this year with scoring tyros GETOUTOFMYWAY and Eddieslittleindians making their first appearance in the chart. Meanwhile it was the Trotters who were the highest debut team as Christine went from the edges of the top 40 all the way to number 19. PorterGuns who had a similar entry last week backed it up to move to number 4. Meanwhile it was Cobras who went the other way falling a massive 34 spots down the rankings this week. Reckon Dale will be pretty happy this best eighteen shit is over for awhile.

Bit of a late entry this week DAISY as I was at Gather Round to watch your team. At least one of us showed up ha ha. As you can see the reserved Hawk fan is our new number one! So far this season that means the next week you have an absolute Barry Crocker and a tumble down the rankings follows. Unfortunately I'm not playing DAISY this week. As the year goes on it is less likely for a new entry, or at least a highly rated one and this week it was Mediocre who hit back to jump into the chart at number 18 in his first appearance. In something of an anomaly, it is Division IV who have been racking them while Premier League teams are off to a bit of a slow start. As someone who fights off relegation every year I for one welcome our new insect overlords.

The DUDS copped the poisoned chalice last week and promptly racked up injury and some below par scoring to lose the leadership of the Hogg scoring to our new number one Adelaide Crows. Now Raymond has been here before but it's been a few years since the Blackbirds topped the Hogg scoring so a good comeback from the Crows here after an extended period in the wilderness. Best newcomer, or should I say latecomer is The Dukes who have been scoring well all year but have now joined the group. That's pretty much all the top teams now in there. Herbs'N'Spices smashed their way in too and naturally my misfiring REBCats copped Herb when he's in top form like just about every season. The Cobras flirted with dropping out of the top 40 dropping from 4 to almost out and now back to number 18 again. The biggest loser this week is Underdogs who were flying high a few weeks ago. The Gib has dropped 22 places this week after leading the scoring at one stage.

Another week, another new number one as Divvy IV guns Flys Flagpies are perched high in the trees this Autumn. Adelaide Crows fell off their perch falling all the way to number 12 after missing out on the Round 7 scoring bonanza. Highest newcomer this week is Division IV (again) Star Midfield who debut at number 30. TEAM FISH and DAISYSDUDS are holding the fort for the premier league but other grades are leading the way a bit this season. Score of the week was 2614 by Petracca's Picnic which was good enough for them to jump back into the top 40 after a few lean weeks. Biggest rise (apart from Picnic) was the mighty REBCats who went up 17 spots while Youngs Young Ones dropped 16 spots on the scoring ladder.
