Well boys and girls the Hogg Election is closed and the people have spoken! We WILL be going ahead with the development at Adelaide Oval ha ha.

Both of the four up four down options proved to be the most popular with option E - Promotion to relegation Div II down to Bunny being voted in.

WHAT THIS MEANS TO YOU

Premier League and Division I

NO CHANGE.

Division II

No change to promotion to Division I - you need to make the Grand Final to go up.
Bottom four teams on the premiership table relegated to Division III.

Division III

Four Preliminary finalists promoted to Division II.
Bottom four teams on the premiership table relegated to Division IV.

Division IV

Top four point scorers for the season promoted to Division III.
Bottom four point scorers for the season demoted to Division V
In 2011 this league will change to become a head to head competition

Division VI

Top four point scorers for the season promoted to Division IV
Bottom four point scorers for the season demoted to the Division VI
Division VI will be called Division V next season
In 2011 this league will change to become a head to head competition

Bunny Bowl

Top four point scorers for the season promoted to Division V
The Bunny Bowl will be called Division VI next season
In 2011 this league will change to become a head to head competition

Piglet Shield

This league will be a stand alone competition with no promotion to the higher grades. If some of the current coaches are keen they might be offered a call up to fill a league vacancy but the election doesn't really effect our family league.

Division VII?

There may be a new division next season but I'm pretty keen on capping the amount of divisions as it's starting to become bigger than Ben Hur. Latecomers will be given a gig so they can have a go but it will take a fair while to get into the top leagues from there. It's time to reward the loyal Hogg coaches.

The reason why the immediate promotion/relegation system has not been brought in is becuase it's a bit unfair to move the goalposts while the season has already started.

HAPPY HOGGING!

Why is it that the top 4 point scorers from each division go up?
That makes a ladder pointless..
IMO it should be the top 4 teams.. So the preliminary finalists that go up...

The reason why the immediate promotion/relegation system has not been brought in is becuase it's a bit unfair to move the goalposts while the season has already started.

Yeah mate absolutely. The only people not happy next year will be the newbies who have to start all the way down the bottom.

Ouch, thought by not immediately introducing the promotion/relegation system and not changing the goalposts once the season has started, you meant that if you finished top two in the pool you would still get promoted up to Div 3 next season, hence voted for C. My mistake
Realised I should have voted to leave it the way it was for my sakes lol
Just realised I will probably be the biggest loser in all of this as will now technically take at least 6 succesfully promoted years to reach Hogg Premier from my spot in the Bunny bowl.
Thems the breaks, it's the same for all and was voted on, so more than fair enough. Might teach me to read things a little more carefully!
:)
Keep up the great work, REB, we all appreciate it.
