This sounds like it would be completely awesome as I totally loved the album version of this.

There's only one thing preventing me from buying a ticket.. SHANNON NOLL SHITTING THINGS UP!

30 years on, that album remains the single best reason to buy a Hi-Fi.

No-one would have believed in the last years of the 19th century that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space...

ULLA!

The original WotW was a radio play broadcast in the states. Think it was a Hitchcock production but nt sure. Anyhow, it was bradcast as it it was a breaking news story, and 000's didn't realise it was just a play. Caused mass panic at the time.

Was re-released a couple of years ago with a 5.1 surround sound mix on SACD.
It doesn't get any better than that.

War of the Worlds is a brilliant album. I believe that Noll is playing the part of Parson Nathaniel. I don't actually mind his voice, it's his material which I find objectionable. It should be a good show despite the Australian Idol content.

Just re-released over here. Currently in at No 26. Screwing barstewards, charging $20.00 for it but you have to read the sleeve very carefully. In small print next to the title is the words "highlights of". Very small print and deliberate as they have the original album cover depicting the tripod, which draws your eye.

Sneaky gits

Lucky for me I have the double cd version.

My first CD was Def Leppard 'Hysteria' in 1987 and I paid over $30 from memory ... 20 years ago

In 1987, a chocolate donut from our school canteen cost 40c and now they are about $1.60 (at a guess). So my Def Leppard 'bargain' cost the equivalent of at least $120 today

You can buy blank CD's for 60c each now ... someone was making some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ back then
