New Order all over

New Order have apparently called it a day.
Pop laden dance hooks with solid lyrics. Will be missed.

Didn't they break up once before and reform in the 90s?

Yeah they break up all the time.
Hard to believe that will be completely it as 'Control', the new film about Joy Division comes out later in the year. NO were heavily involved in the soundtrack and I would guess will be promoting it.

It hasn't quite been the same without Gillian anyway, though the last 2 albums since the reformation have been quite good. Hooky has a 'super group' of sorts called Freebass featuring, er three basses. Him, Mani from the Stone Roses and Andy Rourke from the Smiths. Lots of guest vocalists. Should be interesting.
