Not normally a fan of these gigs but its almost as though they've put together this year's line up with me in mind!

Doc Neeson's Angels! (My fav band of all time)

Lead singer of the Knack (My Sharona one of fav songs of all time)

Rick Springfield (Jesse's Girl one of fav songs of all time)

Plastic Bertrant (Ca Plane Pour Moi one of fav songs of all time)

and heaps heaps more, I might have to acutally go to this sad old people fest!

If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I'd love Plastic Betrand to come out and sing "Jet Boy Jet Girl" instead of "Ca Plane Pour Moi" which Elton Motello (who was one of the backing musos on PB's album) recorded about the same time. It's the same tune but the lyrics aren't strictly a direct translation.... Might be a few shocked thirty and forty-somethings in the audience that night!

Can you tell what's on my mind
She's with him it's drives me wild
I'd like to hit him on the head until he's dead
The sight of blood is such a high
Ooooohhhh
He gives me head

We made it on a Ballroom Blitz
I took his arms and kissed his lips
He looked at me with such a smile my face turned red
We booked a room into the Ritz
Ooooohhhh
He gives me head

(CHORUS)
Jet boy jet girl
I'm gonna take you 'round the world
Jet boy I'm gonna make you penetrate
I'm gonna make you be a girl
Ooooohhhh
Jet boy jet girl

I know I'm only just fifteen
I like to kick I like to scream
And even if I had a kick or two in bed with him
You know it's just a dream
Ooooohhhh
He gives me head

REPEAT CHORUS

The other day what a suprise
I saw him with some other guys
God he was dressed up with a girl around his neck
I could have cried with both my eyes
Ooooohhhh
He gives me head

And if and when I make it though
Or if my brain is stuck on glue
And when the world tries to foget all that I said
You know I'll still remember you
Ooooohhhh
You gave me head

REPEAT CHORUS
"They got Burton suits, ha, you think it's funny, turning rebellion into money"

This is Captain Sensible (of The Damned) singing it with a Seattle punk band called The Briefs. Bit rough but you get the idea.

Cheers for the link, great stuff.
An Aussie band who were on before Red Phoenix a couple of years ago did a great version of it too (with original lyrics).
