Can any experienced guitar players give me some advice?
I have taken up the guitar & bass and need some advice as to
which amplifiers I should get.
I have my eye on both the Marshall MG 10&15 watt & Fender Frontman 15 for
my six stringer and the Marshall MB15 & Fender Rumble 15 for my low end.
Any tips?

what style of music you looking to play?
That'd probably influence the information you'd get.

I play a Peavey Pro 115 box with a old and tired Trace Elliott head.I have in the past had a Roland and a Carlsberg. The Carlsberg being old, real old, about a 1970's built. But it rocked. The Roland was a small practice amp.
For bass,IMO I suggest Peavey or Fender.
Marshal valve amps are sweet too,but perhaps not 'dirty' enough sound for the styles you are looking for.For the 6 string.
Where to shop? Rock Shop,Pulteney St.Or Dillingers, and always, always flash cash! Talk tough, you'll get $ knocked off.

The amps u mentioned are good, but factor in the following and ill give ya some tips
Price range
Use - Gigs, recordings, Just jammin.
Size
The style u play doesnt affect what amp u should buy. A good Pedal will sort that end out.

As a bass player I use a Woogie, 800w, custom made - works very well for bass, but you will need to play a few diff amps for the guitar - the guitarist from my band also uses a woogie, but it's a case of try before you buy as everyone has diff points of view. All the best - check out
