He is a talented performer, yet has the worst material ever to work with.
I'd be sacking management etc if I was him.

I said he is a talented performer.
My question is, what are his songs that are going to go down in history?
"Kids" with Kylie Minogue, is about as close as he'll get.

not sure where you are coming from punk as management have nothing to do with the songs...
anyway, he has a shitload of hits like angels, let me entertain you, feel, radio, etc the list goes on...you dont fill a stadium with 60,000 people if your songs are crap...I think you may be a little out of touch with the music scene my friend

Quite a few of Robbie's tunes will be remembered as there is no competition these days. His career does seem to have a certain 'Blondes have more fun' attitude about it though LOL.

regards,

Whilst not buying into the Robbie Williams argument just because you attract a lot of people doesn't mean its quality.
Look at the ratings Australian Idol gets, and some people claim VB is the best beer, or SAFM is the best radio station or Holden's have the best car in the world all becasuse they rate/sell best.
Far from the truth but full marks to Robbie and his management because they know where the $$$ are. Don't blame him/them as I'd do the same.

au contraire- I'm probably more in touch with the music scene than yourself, & maybe I'm the only one not wearing blinkers.
Robbie Williams is an ENTERTAINER, & he is very good at it.
He does not have any quality songs.
You fill a stadium with 60,000 people when your Public Relations far exceeds your ability to produce quality music.
Angels= 5hit.
Radio= 5hit
& most of his other songs are 5hit also- but he has the personality & stage presence to not let that get in the way.
Britney Spears has that + good (catchy) songs.
Kylie Minougue also (she drifts between Britney & Robbie, as she has done some B-grade soongs also).
His songs are very B-grade, & he gives them more credibility than they deserve.
If you take time to read my posts (yes all of them), I openly say he is a talented individual, however, the material (songs) he's been given to work with are absolute CARP!

I am not one of the sheep who blindly follow mainstream music (ie listen to exactly what the Record Exec's want, & be a good consumer & buy all those greatest hits albums at christams).
I do like stuff that's played on the radio, but I'm a discerning listener, & I'll give credit where it's due.
But I'm not swallowing everything hook. line & sinker, presented in a mass feed trough like a majority of the single/album buying public!
