Yes Mattee, me too.
To be honest, the line up doesn't really impact upon my decision to go or not. I love the events of the BDO and Soundwave and look forward to enjoying them year in, year out.
For me, Green Day are one of my top 5 bands seen live and I'm already looking forward to seeing them again. Oh, and GWAR.

I saw Green Day live at Thebby in '96 (before they turned into a stadium rock band with AI) and they were awesome. Will be 18 years since by the time this rolls around so might have to seriously consider it as I wouldn't want to bet they'll come to Adelaide again.
STP with that dropkick from Linkin Park (more for the lolz), Rob Zombie, AIC, Down, Devildriver, Newsted, Black Dahlia Murder, Mushroomhead make it a pretty interesting lineup.
If they could squeeze a Patton band or the very unlikely Melvins I'd be up for this, if the price is right.

Melvins are playing Meredith, not sure they'd come back a couple of months later?
Weak line-up IMO, hope the second announcement is good.

The talk is Green Day will be doing 2.5 hour sets!
Not sure about that but they have been playing Dookie in full on tour at the moment so might be legit.

Ill still watch STP ... You blokes can't be too big fans if you didn't know that already. He was announced as weilands replacement a fair while back. It's a lose lose situation anyway. I've had friends see them live in the last couple years. One in particular STP are his all time favourite band. He wished he never went cause it was a terrible show. Guess that's what happens when your permanently off your face. The other band members had no choice but to flick him if they wanted the band to continue

Yea AJ Maddah has said green day won't be playing any side shows and are playing 2.5 hrs. And ruled out Nine inch nails as the other rumoured headliner to be announced in the second announcement

That was insane at Thebby. Insomniac just come out and I was lucky to leave with all body parts still intact!!
Last time I saw Green Day was when I was o/s in London circa 2006. They played in front of 60,000 and didn't really get into it. In saying that if they are pumping out a 2.5 hour set I will be there (seeing as each Green Day song goes for about 3 minutes each that's a helluva lot of songs to get through).

It sure was still the best show I've ever been too, the crowd was going ballistic the whole time. I was front row me and a few mates and my brother lined up out the front from about 10:30 that morning first ones there too. I can still remember a then young unknown band in The Living End (with their original stand up drummer) playing an impressive support slot too.

Megadeth to headline the metal stage while Green Day are on.
Excellent... Better spot for me at Megadeth.

You can add a few more bands to the list after Megadeth mentioned a few on their website that weren't in the first announcement
From fasterlouder:
Megadeth’s official website has listed another three acts that weren’t on the lineup released by Soundwave, possibly revealing a few of the acts we’ll see on the second lineup announcement. The three “leaked” announcements are Swedish death metal veterans Entombed, Chicago’s Soil, and American heavy metal “supergroup” Hellyeah featuring Mudvayne lead vocalist Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, Nothingface guitarist Tom Maxwell, Damageplan bassist Bob Zilla, and former Pantera and Damageplan drummer Vinnie Paul.
