I said it on here when the last album came out but I'm old enough to remember when Grinspoon were a good band.

I liked Six to midnight.
"Dogs" "Run" "Premonitons" "It takes One" all good songs that they will play live regularly.

Black rabbits is interesting very different to six to midnight. Alot poppier/radio friendly than anything they have done previously.
Tightrope Final Reward Battleground the highlights.
Just A Sound Beaujolais Casualties Full Moon are the best of the slower/mid tempo songs

Big interview with Phil about Black Rabbits. He's clearly not a fan of Six To Midnight but I bet he disowns this album too in time:

Same... Guide to Better Living was a great album for a teenager in the late 90's.

Black Rabbits....what do I say?
Far too much "pop" and nowhere near enough of the Ginners at their best ( DC3X, Black Friday etc ) and seems to have been made for radio.
First listen was very dissappointing and as with all albums listen 2-3 gets you a little more interested, but nup. No good this one.

Have done exactly that and agree. Also given New Detention and Easy a bit of a run of late.

I listen to Guide to a Better Living a fair bit, I've got New Dention, Easy and also Thrills, Kills and Sundays Pills. I'd go to Big Day Out and see Grinspoon if they played songs from these albums only but I doubt they would and I don't want to pay $165 to see two (RHCP being the other) bands.

You can get away with not paying the $165, they are playing the Gov on the 21st of March.
Im going to have to build up some pass out points to get there!
I havent listened to Black Rabbits yet, I am nervous. I actually really liked Six to Midnight.
Behind Guide to Better Living, New Detention gets a fair go in the car.
