You know what I'm talking about, songs without vocals.

Metallica's 'Orion' was always a highly rated one in my circles.

Got hold of this one a year or so back- love it:

Anyone got other suggestions?

Not a huge instrumental fan but Dirty Three comes straight to mind.

Everything's F***ed - Dirty Three
Oscillate Wildly - The Smiths
Firesuite - Doves

Metallica's 3 big instrumentals are big faves of mine.
Probably Orion, To Live Is To Die and Call of Ktulu in that order.

(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth is a good one also.

The Call of Ktulu is my favourite of Metallica's Instrumentals, Black Sabbath's Rat Salad and The Living End's E-Boogie are favourites of mine aswell.

Orion was always my favourite Metallica instrumental - until I got Death Magnetic. Now it's second to Suicide and Redemption.

Always thought the original Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy theme was an original, but no.

It was based on the Eagles' Journey of the Sorcerer from One of These Nights.
