Anyone voted, or voting in the Hottest 100?

I did my shortlist and had 72 songs

It's been an awesome year for Music! 8)

Pretty pumped for the countdown, even though Gotye will definitely be the Number 1

It's the first year of my music listening life that I'm really struggling to list 5 albums that have done it for me this year, much less 'singles' (whatever they are these days). Old fartdom is definitely here...

Voted all ready, not as many stand out songs for me this year compared to last year.

Pumped as for the countdown though

I voted for the singer/songwriter with an acoustic guitar and clear lens glasses whose partner has left them and they are really upset, and they whisper when they sing.

That Matt Corby song might run them down.

He's from Australian Idol right? JJJ play him and that Lisa Mitchell chick too? Suddenly I don't feel so out of touch

Think i need to either expand my taste or tune into something different cause i struggled to find ten songs i even rated that highly .... guess im stuck in the old school hottest 100 days. All this indie and easy listening stuff does my head in

Ended up going with

Art Vs Science - A.I.M. Fire!
Bear Hands - Crime Pays
Dr Don Don - Never Fear {Ft. Elizabeth Rose}
Foo Fighters - Arlandria
Gold Fields - Moves
Grouplove - Itchin' On A Photograph
Loon Lake - Bad To Me
San Cisco - Golden Revolver
The Vaccines - Norgaard
Joshy Willo - Moon as a Mirror

Joshy Willo was a given as he was a couple of years above me at school and his Girlfriend was in my year. She has started a FB campaign otherwise I probably wouldn't have wasted 3 hours of my time trying to vote

Had a daunting shortlist of 2..and ended up with 2 ;) I guess that will happen when you listen to about 30 mins of JJJ a month (due to being stuck in the car with the wife)

Voted for the two Mastodon tracks for what it's worth...Goyte $1.12 fav with one of the bookies.

Tons of great music released last year though, the most new albums I've bought in many years..but my tastes and those of JJJ don't match anymore.
