"Retro" tours for 2011-12

Postby CK » Sun Jun 26, 2011 12:07 pm

Thought it worth starting a thread for details of older bands/artists coming to Adelaide, for those fans of the more retro stuff (yes, like me). Many of these are at Norwood Hotel.

Brian Cadd/Russell Morris - Norwood Hotel - June 30 and July 1

Stevie Nicks - Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC here on in) - November 23, through Ticketek

James Reyne - Norwood Hotel - October 8

Jon Stevens - Norwood Hotel - October 21

The Black Sorrows - Norwood Hotel - Thurs July 21 and Sat July 23

Diesel - Norwood Hotel - Friday September 16 and Saturday 17

First Glenn Shorrock, now Brian Cadd and Russell Morris ... must be heaven CK? :D

These acts are the real thing ...
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

That's odd. His name is still on the venue-tix billboard thingy attached to the Thebby theatre. Oh well, saves me buying tickets I guess!

If the last paragraph in this is correct, then very big news for Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fans - particularly after Adelaide was originally left off the schedule. Would surely have to be at Adelaide Oval if so:

Choirboys on the bill also :)

Am thinking of going, but suspect there won't be much change from $150 per ticket on this one.

Yeah, I deliberately omitted the Choirboys so it wasn't even more embarrassing :D

Most of these WELL past-it tours are generally wallet milkers so I'd say you're on the money bud

Most people would choose "anyone" over the LRB ;)

Pfft. When LRB announce their next tour (if they ever do - Glenn Shorrock often gleefully announces that he "holds the key to that one" and is keeping the key close to him at present), I'll be first in line. :D ;)

Probably one of the biggest retro tours from an Aussie band in years - saw them when they last played in 1998 and they were WELL worth it - Cold Chisel:
