AFl Grand Final Day  . I have updated the first post with band information.

Any ideas of Venues? I think Wayville is out due to a contract agreement with BDO promotors.

The festival’s promoter AJ Maddah has confirmed that the event will visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. The venue for Soundwave Revolution in Brisbane will be the same as Soundwave (RNA Showgrounds); in all other states the Revolution will be held at different venues.

Maddah has declared that the all ages festival will be a one off for 2011, that he’s “99% sure there won’t be any sideshows for Soundwave Revolution”.

Brisbane Revolution – Saturday 24th September
Sydney Revolution – Sunday 25th September
Melbourne Revolution – Friday 30th September
Adeladie Revolution – Saturday 1st October
Perth Revolution – Monday 3rd October

The full festival lineup details will be announced on Thursday 28th April; expect another 6-8 bands to be announce before the full announcement.

Thirty-three bands have been officially confirmed for Soundwave Revolution so far and for every artist announced there has been a dozen more clues dropped

Dunno if the GF will have much effect on numbers. Adelaide Parklife was on GF day a couple years back and the crowds still flocked to it (although, they did show the game on a big screen inside the venue).

The announcement has been delayed due to issues with the date in Perth. The public holiday has changed days. In the meantime The Used, Watain and Cro-mags have been added.
