Can't see them playing Adelaide.
Best bet is to see them in Melbourne.

Arguably the greatest thrash metal band of all time, Metallica, have announced plans to tour Australia in November.

The announcement was actually made by Metallica’s drummer Lars Ulrich at a press conference in Columbia last month but the news was overshadowed at the time by the full-scale riot that occurred as a result of fans trying to gatecrash the band’s performance in the country.

Ulrich had this to say on the band’s intension to tour Australia: “we’re staying out and doing dates up till November, in Australia and New Zealand is where we’re heading in November and then after that we’re gonna take a little bit of chill time, ’cause it’s been a couple of years on the road, and then after that I think we’re just gonna go back and continue with another record. There’s no particular plans to do anything else.”

With the revamped Adelaide Oval done by then I think they would play there. AC/DC and Pearl Jam setting the scene for more shows there I think.

Agreed, I dont get into thrash and Metallica are metal for sure, but not thrash. That was taken from a metal magazine website though.
