On worst lyrics in general, while I have all of their albums, only Sting could manage to rhyme "cough" with "Nabakov" (Don't Stand So Close To Me). Honorable mention to Toto also for the line "as sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti" in "Africa".

Maybe it's the vocal delivery but that line in "Africa" doesn't sound too bad in the song itself.

Many, many pop songs have terrible lyrics, but it seems worse than ever these days.

Mind you, "dashing and gay" is a lyric that I'm sure seemed to roll off the tongue nicely when it was first penned, but with the wisdom of years past now makes us cringe
