Monday Morning RPH - Dag Classics

Each week now on the Monday Morning Sports Show on RPH, we are bowing to the thronging masses and playing a selected classic from the 70's and 80's that is a Dag Song. A track that you haven't heard for ages on radio (sometimes for good reason) and brings out your inner dag. A song that may revive good memories of childhood, or memories of bad dancing by your uncle at Christmas. The first week was Agadoo by Black Lace, this week's was Shaddup You Face by Joe Dolce.

We have had some truly daggy, er, wonderful nominations for coming weeks, but throwing it open to safooty.net'ers to give us some more. Either post them on here, or email us at mondaymorningrph@gmail.com and we will work our way through them each Monday morning at 8am.

Cheers
CK

New Zealand band that came to OZ in the late 70's that dressed like characters from nursery rhymes. From memory their first single was an amazing version of the Stones "Paint it Black"" which disappeared without a trace after one appearance on Countdown and Baked Beans was their second and it went through the roof.
They never had another hit in this country despite releasing some great singles such as "Living in a silent movie" "I Can't sing very well" and "Margarette and me" to name three.

I can't be held responsible for the wishes of the people, FC. The call was for soul, so we bowed to that.
