NME = music's answer to the Women's Weekly these days.

I like nearly half of those albums but would count only a few as absolute crackers:
The Strokes – ‘Is This It’
Radiohead – ‘In Rainbows’
Arcade Fire – ‘Funeral’
Interpol – ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’
LCD Soundsystem – ‘Sound Of Silver’
Avalanches – ‘Since I Left You’
Yeah Yeah Yeahs – ‘Show Your Bones’

The Libertines were horribly overrated by mags like the NME I reakon. Primal Scream too.

That was one of those albums that the missus brought home one day, and played over and over and over until, very much in spite of myself, I ended up liking it

Interesting that only one Australian album made the cut (The Avalanches) personally i'd have The Drones (Wait by the river..) and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds (Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus) in my top 10 of the 00s. Oh yeah and Get Born by Jet ;)

Karnivool - Themata
Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
Temper Trap - Conditions
Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
Maximo Park - Our Earthly Pleasures
It's Somma Time!
