Still some details to be confirmed on this one, but the general tone from both Tyler and the band is that he has quit.

If they go on, it simply wouldn't be the same :(

Definitely my favourite band (my sons just happen to be named Tyler and Perry...) and surely Steve Tyler is someone that the band can't replace. Sad news for me if true...

Thats OK mate. Everyone has an opinion, but having no opinion and commenting doesn't really make sense to me ?? But each to their own. World keeps spinning...

I suggest you listen to their early stuff before you listen to their recent stuff. It's a damn sight better than what they have produced over the last 10 years I must admit....

Toys In the Attic and Rocks are stone cold classics.
True about the last statement. Everything since Get A Grip has been pedestrian.

Remember a review of "Permanent Vacation" when it was released, saying it was much more than just a way of clearing up bills. "Rag Doll" is still one of my all time favorites of theirs. "Pump" is still excellent, 20 years on also. "Love In An Elevator" and "What It Takes" definite faves. Wasn't ever a big fan of "Janie's Got A Gun" to be honest.

Awesome band...not matter what others say.

I saw them live in Adelaide on the Pump tour (about 1990 I think) at Memorial Drive.

They have released some great albums....try :

Toys in the Attic (1975), Rocks (1976), Pump (1990) or Permanant Vacaton (1987)

Have done a few shockers too!!! ....dare I say "I dont want to miss a thing"

Joe Perry the guitarist is one COOL dude!!! Love his Riffs..... ;)

I was at that concert too southee !!! I remember the strange smell of weed wafting up between the seats at Memorial Drive as the concert started. Great show....

Toys in the Attic is definitly one of my favourite albums of all time

I have to say I very much enjoy playing Guitar Hero - Aerosmith on the PlayStation too..... ;)
