Just got home, Got there at 3.15 home at 11.30, support acts were pretty good especially local band called Clearway.

As for John Farnham...brilliant, had never seen him live so paid for Gold tickets and it was well worth it...and he even sang Sadie! His energy was amazing, the louder the crowd got the louder he and the band seemed to get..was on stage for almost exactly 90mins but it seemed to go in a flash. He comes in for a bit of criticism about the comeback stuff but I hope that isnt the last time!

Venue was good but probably should have got in touch with Kenny Smyth at Splashdown and ordered another 50 or so port a loos for the ladies, were almost as many women as men in the mens toilets most of the day!

Were the men complaining

My daughter and her friends certainly enjoyed themselves.
Originally mostly motivated to go as support for Tom Williams as he is a friend of hers,
But she ended up absolutely loving John Farnham!
Don't know if you saw them in the crowd of 9000 Columbo...lol,
But they did all they could to stand out by having heaps of glow sticks stuck to them,
My daughter even thought it a great idea to wrap them around her ugg boots

It was great to see the mix of ages,
From the very young to the very old.

It seemed to be really well organised,
Right from the getting in/parking to the leaving.
They had the traffic all heading in one direction and I didn't see any 'traffic jams' as such.

So well done to the organisers,
I suppose it's been going for some time now probably don't have many teething problems anymore.

I had to smile though at the convoy from Adelaide.
On the Tanunda Road we had about 25 cars in front of us,
And 25 following...lol.

Weather turned out great too, not even 'too' cold.

O:)

A pic from the night:

On the right is Tom, first act of the night/afternoon (on the left Tom's friend)
No need to say who's in the middle !! :D

I'm pretty sure that's the biggest crowd Tom has sung to,
Needless to say he was probably a bit nervous,
But my daughter said he did a really good job,
She said she was 'proud of him' .... (LOL... I thought how cute of her to say  )

The blokes were the ones directing the women into the mens, otherwise I think alot of them would have missed Farnham!!!

Tom Williams wasn't bad...hadn't really heard of him..when i saw the name I was expecting to see the guy from better homes and gardens.

Dont recall seeing any girls with glow sticks, there were a few roaming around with lyrics to a different JF songs on them who did their best to stand out!

I doubt anyone would have left there last night dissappointed with what they saw...just that it didnt go for another hour and a half!
