From Coldplay to Hunters and Collectors, Kings of Leon to Kylie Minogue, the Sound Relief 4 DVD set showcases international and local talent in a celebration of music and the power of humanity.
Following the Victorian bushfires and Queensland floods in February, the Australian music community, along with some of the world's biggest musical names, banded together for Sound Relief benefit concerts in support of those affected by these tragedies. Raising over $8 million, the event itself became the biggest concert in Australian music history.
Help prepare communities for disasters
Set to launch on 9 October, all profits from the sale of Sound Relief DVDs will support Red Cross in preparing communities for disasters such as bushfires and floods. In our emergency response work, we are continuing to find that people who have prepared and planned for an emergency situation often have a resilience that helps them recover faster, both financially and emotionally. Your support will assist vulnerable communities prepare for this disaster season and the future.
Purchasing the DVD
With 9 hours of footage featuring every artist that performed in Melbourne and Sydney, this 4 DVD set will be available at all leading music stores on 9 October 2009.
