Nope. The missus is a huge grinners fan and she received an email about it last week.
I was complaining about no new good albums out this year. So started to look at what was due to be released for the remainder of 2009 and was pleasantly surprised.
Arctics Grinspoon Muse etc....................
BTW Wolfmothers Double Album "Cosmic Egg" is Out in October.
BTW are you a My Morning Jacket fan DW ???

Agreed stockdale is the new axl rose.
I can see a "Chinese Democracy" style album being released.
I have heard a few of the new songs. Most sound very similar to the last album.
Only one I like thus far is this one VIOLENCE OF THE SUN (live version attached).

I liked that you tube clip of what Mike Patton said about Wolfmother. I'm old enough to remember when Grinspoon used to be a good band, Guide To Better Living and Easy were good albums but Thrills was the beginning of the end.

Their last album "ALIBIS AND OTHER LIES" was pretty good. A return to the old rocking days of GTBL and Easy.

Fair enough I was a bit disappointed with New Detention and to me Thrills was too obvious an attempt at getting commerical radio play with straight ahead basic rock songs.

Yeah thought Comeback was Ok. Nothing special. I think Grinners are at their best when they do their harder stuff.
