Was in that stage of pondering what to watch on Foxtel, with the main menu on screen when I suddenly became aware of the background music - the Ramones "Sheena is a punk rocker" in a very ordinary "elevator music" genre!
I now actually listen to the music. Have now also recognised "Jumping Jack Flash" & Ballroom Blitz" in the very same style.
It's almost a Spicks n Specks version of "Look what they've done to my song".
Anyone else picked this up & what other tunes have been destroyed.

It's very clever by the people who do these ads etc.
They change the song around slightly, so that it's still recognisable and you look up to see the ad.
However, it's changed just enough so they don't have to pay royalties.
The Dominoes ad, featuring the new pasta dishes they make, is an example. In that film clip it's The Fratellis song Chelsea Dagger that is chewed up.
I've noticed a few other songs in ad jingles like this.
