Pink in Adelaide - 2009

Those who know me will attest that my music taste is somewhat...old. When I heard that Pink was coming to Adelaide, though, was curious to see a performer I'd heard great reports about, with their stageshow.

Have just come home from the first of her Adelaide concerts and can say with absolute honesty that this is the single best show I have ever seen in over 30 years of attending concerts. Packed to capacity, the crowd was at full throttle throughout, led by one of the most amazing, energetic, crowd pleasing performers imaginable. Am incredible stage show, led by a posse of extremely fit and agile dancers, with parts atop trapezes, Pink led from the front with a brilliant display of all of the hits (except, for some odd reason, "Stupid Girls"??) and had the crowd in her palm throughout. Hard to describe just how intricate the stage setting itself was at times, but when she is atop a trapeze, spinning around as she sings, and then flying through the air on it...wow. This is just amazing stuff and I'm pretty hard to impress in these sorts of things.

For all other acts coming here this year, the title for best concert in 2009 is over, IMHO. All others are merely dancing for second place. This is stunning. Beg, borrow, get a ticket somehow. I've never seen anything like this ever. Absolutely mindbogglingly brilliant.

I've also heard from other people who've attended her concerts the same thing,
that they are absolutely brilliant O:)

Apparently the show is quite spectacular but if you think her songs are simplistic garbage the show can be as spectacular as you like you aren't going to enjoy it. I prefer concerts where there is no bells and whistles myself. If I want to see a circus I'll go to the circus.

I hear that she's doing about 56 concerts in Australia over about 4 months.

I bought 2 tickets for the Pink Concert. :D

They're for Mrs Wedgie and little Miss Wedgie. I'm quite happy with the tix I've got to see the Angels in July (twice) and ACDC next year. ;)
