I think you mean 'Different Class' which has Common People on it but I do concur anyway.
Different Class (a bona fide British classic) then His n' Hers (worth it for 'Babies' alone) then This is Hardcore (really underrated). Steer clear of their last album 'We Love Life' which is a mess and Jarvis' first solo album which is a huge yawn.
Their B sides are ace too - I think some of their albums are now 'special editions' incl B-sides. Or you could just go for the best of 'Hits'. Saw them at the Thebby - I've never seen a more exhilarating perfomance / crowd reaction than 'Common People' - absolutely unforgettable.
Edit - Pseudo if you really like Countdown you'll probably like 'Intro' which is a collection of their early stuff. People forget they were around for 15 years before they struck it big!

The extra CD is worth getting for Disco 2000 alone, which features Jarvis Cocker and Nick Cave sharing the vocals. JB over here has it for $20 recently. Also if chasing up Jarvis solo stuff you can't go past the song "**nts are still running the world".
