Shannon Noll vs Wil Anderson

Noll has challenged Anderson to a charity boxing match.

Some off-colour jokes Anderson told about Noll's late father Neil during his stand-up routine at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has fired up bogan Australia's fave rocker.

I hope some stray punches do damage to both their vocal chords. That way, we won't have to hear 'Nollsy' sing nor listen to Wil's lame jokes ever again!

I'd pay to see Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll, Anthony Diorrehia and that other fat heffa-lump go toe to toe in a boxing ring...better still have a wrestling match and hopefully they will all die a painful daeth.

Sure, Wil laughs at his own jokes too much, but I'm sure he'd be an unbackable fan favourite if it were to happen...

If I remeber correctly, and if it's the same event, Anderson said something about the fact his Dad's name was Neil Noll and it sounded funny. Can't remember if he went on past that.

I think (?) he said the name was Noel Noll. He compared it to the sound of the buzzer on Family Feud when someone gets a strike.

Went something like this...

Shannon Noll is the most Australian bloke there is...you know what his Dad's name is? Noel! Noel Noll! That's not a name - that's the sound of the buzzer on Family Feud when you get a strike. Noel Noll!

Of course, his name is actuall Neil so Anderson stuffed up there.

He's been using the same material for ages.

Wil Anderson, Rove McManus, Merrick and Rosso, Hamish and Andy, Corinne Grant and so on - can anyone pinpoint the exact moment when Australian comedy went so pear-shaped?

And while they are at can someone explain how Shaun Miccallef gets a show rejected by the ABC when they continue to show "The Glasshouse"?
Don't worry folks "The Wedge" starts this week and that will be sensational. After all Ian McFayden is behind it  ](*,)

Because The Glass House costs SFA to make. A sitcom on the other hand...

Micallef is okay with a sketch format but hopeless when it comes to narrative comedy, as many comedians are.

Believe Nick Giannopolous got his show canned, too.

Believe me I am fully aware of the ABC "it's cost too much to make" line. I've had first hand experience with it.
IMO Shaun Micallef reading the phone book would be funnier than anything that has ever been on the Glasshouse.

As for Nick Giannopolous.....let's stick to talking about comedians

No such thing as an Australian comedy any more,oh,hang on,Neighbours is about as funny as TV gets here.

Shaun Meckaliff or whatever his name is,is a hack,an absolute hack.

Rove Macmanus is as welcome in my house as a jar full of spiders at a kids birthday party.

Also the fact that pretty much the entire ABC comedy budget goes to 'Kath & Kim' at the moment.

Having said that, the ABC, along with SBS is prepared on occasion to back new shows.

Actually, let's not mention him at all.

Tool of the highest order who treats people like sh!t.

A lot of people enjoyed 'The Wannabes' - for all the wrong reasons... :D

Kath and Kim probably the most successful ABC show of the last two-three years (let alone comedy show), and the irony there is that they had to threaten to sue to get it put to air after the new regime in the comedy department didn't think it would work and canned it after the previous regime had given it the green light.

You've got to love Aunty....
