I haven't followed them closely before but did like one of their songs from 2004ish that was on JJJ's Hottest 100
But, as well as rating their current hit "Sex on Fire", I reckon the video is superb and adds to the power of the song.
I haven't bought a CD in a while but this might be the next one. Anyone listened to the whole CD yet?
EDIT: quick research tells me they are flavor of the month in Australia! All 4 of their albums are currently in the top 50. Sounds like I'm behind the times

It really depends what you listen to, music wise. I dont really like Kings Of Leon, but Sex on Fire is a damn good song.

I don't mind them but Sex on Fire has worn a bit thin with me after spending last Saturday night working behind the bar of my cricket club with an 18th/end of year 12 party goiing on. reckon it was on at least 5 times inside 2 hours

Im more into English stuff like Arctic Monkeys, The Pigeon Detectives, Coldplay, The Kooks etc. Karnivool and Birds of Tokyo are both good Aussie bands

This one was backed up by someone, and I like it.
I'm a sucker for guitar driven music, as well as my English stuff.
Will get someone to put it on my ipod and give it a thrash then......

Yeah what about Keane, The Doves, The Earlies etc ?

Doves (note the lack of 'the') are prob my favourite band- seen them live a couple of times and are outstanding. New KIngs of Leon is pretty commercial and will wear a bit thin. Their last album 'because of the times' took me a while to get into but i still play it often and am not sick of it- cant imagine the new album being bearable in 12 months. Might just be me tho

The album is definately worth buying Hondo. I reckon the best track on the album would be "Use Somebody".
What's shagged Sex on Fire is commercial radio flogging the shit out of it. It's not like Kings of Leon have sprung up overnight!

Their songs are all really similar and it's starting to get on my nerves.
There are some rippers on there though, but I just wish they had more variety on the album.

I agree completely with that list - also throw in 'The Bucket' from their second album Aka Shake Heartbreak and 'Red Morning Light' from their first album Youth and Young Manhood. If you listened to the songs mentioned above, plus these two, that would give you an excellent spread of KOL's musical range.
Also 'Sex on Fire' is by no means the best song on their latest album - 'Use Somebody' (mentioned above by TRN3), 'Crawl' and 'Closer' are all better tracks than that one. I read somewhere that Caleb Followill (lead singer and lyricist) was even quoted to say that he thinks 'Sex on Fire' is a horrible song!

Voting for Incarnadine on uncharTED I won a CD, it arrived in the mail Tuesday, Kings Of Leon - Only By The Night, enjoyed the first song, but then every song started to sound the same, the missus likes it so it looks like it's going into her collection.

Could not agree more all these comercial stations play it over and over again every bloody day they kill all these great bands. Stick to the J's for all the quality music after all they are the ones who unleash all these bands.

About time Ballhog you posted on another forum than cricket and footy!
Totally Agree with you though.
Red Morning Light is my favourite KOL song. I've seen them a few times and they are always great but was very dissapointed at the crowd a few years back before Pearl Jam at the ent centre. What a crap reception for a quality band!
