Just giving my cousins band (Incarnadine) a plug, they are playing at the Gaslight 13/09/08, and the Holdy 26/09/08, I've seen them a few times and they are pretty good, also seen The Irresponsibles a couple of times who are also good. I'll be at the Gaslight with my son, also hoping to make it to the Holdy.

have a listen to them on their myspace

I reckon I will be there.
I'm going to find out if the kids can go to that one as well, I know they can at the Gas light, but can't at the Jade Monkey, which by the way is a great venue for live music.

Jade Monkey is a great place for live music, good atmosphere there. Small bar but drinks are pretty cheap too for the amount they seem to put in there.

A few of us at the club are mates with the boys from Straight To The Ace (or She Said You, as they're now known). Seen them at the Jade, the Rhino Room, and they played at the footy club during the year, very catchy tunes. Good guys too.

Incarnadine have entered a competition to try and get a gig at the Big Day Out.
Have a listen to some of their originals here:

http://www.myspace.com/incarnadineaustralia

and here:

http://www.uncharted.com.au/index.do?

In the 2nd one type Incarnadine in the search, they've got a couple of songs on here and you can register to vote for them in the competition.
It allows one vote per hour and there is hourly prizes.

Check out my brothers band....let me know what you think!

DAY13

Have got two ep's out at the moment and having been doing plenty of gigging around town recently
Better live than there recordings and they aren't by any means bad. Were on the bill with drowning pool at HQ as well before they canceled.

Try Here;

*Bump*
It will be a great show tomorrow night, Incarnadine are kicking the night off at 9:45

check them out at http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=77001163 or http://www.facebook.com/pages/Incarnadine/34863631244

....................and you can register and vote for them on http://www.uncharted.com.au/index.do? they are sitting 22nd nationally (out of over 1000 bands) at the moment and the highest ranked band from SA after a late entry in the comp.
If they can get through to the top 8 they will go to the next round for a chance at joining the Big Day Out tour. You can vote once every hour, and every hour there is free CD's given out to a voter

Great gig last night. Wedgie showed up as well and was impressed. It was the first time I'd seen Fear in Dakota, very "Pearl Jam", they were good as well.

Incarnadine have now got to 17 on uncharted, anyone that can vote for them, please do, they now are the only SA band in with a real chance, they need to get to the top 8 to go onto the next stage.

Incarnadines next gig is Friday Nov 29th at the Exeter, 9:00pm

don't forget to register and vote for them on http://www.uncharted.com.au/index.do? there's only 6 more days for a SA band to climb the rankings and fight for a spot at the BDO

My nephews band has just moved to town from Alice Springs. I think they are calling themselves Scare City atm but used to go by the name Through Bullets and Bravery. Look out for them at gigs early next year
