R.I.P SHIRLEY + THE KING

Postby mal » Sun Aug 17, 2008 11:53 pm

ELVIS 16/08/77 my 60s idol.
SHIRL 29/08/01 one of my 70s idols.

Both passed away in the month of August.
ELVIS Arguably the best solo singer ever
SHIRL Arguably in the best Oz band ever

Gone but not forgotten.

The 'truth' about what really happened to Elvis (& JFK) is revealed in the movie 'Bubba Ho-Tep'

I may be wrong but I think Groucho Marx died the day after Elvis.
Now there's a real loss. :(

Must admit I'd rather watch Groucho than Elvis. His death was completely overshadowed in the same way Mother Theresa's was by the sainted bloody Diana's.
