Styli for record players

The stylus on my record player has worn to the point where all my Dead Or Alive LPs sound screechy and horrible.

Is there somewhere in the Adelaide CBD that still sells styli? An antique hi fi shop perhaps?

1. Dead or Alive sound screechy/horrible on CD
2. Try JB Hi-Fi

Radio Rentals used to sell them when I worked there, though that was in '96 '97 - unsure if they still would?

I last bought one at Blackwood HiFi a couple of years ago.

Unless it's 'Youthquake' I really wouldn't bother.

JB's doesn't sell them. The lass behind the counter suggested Allans, so I went there to find the place shut. Will try again later....

... and if successful, I will celebrate by playing Duran Duran singles all night.

There is a couple of shops over here (melbourne) that still keep (or can get) just about any stylus made. These are shops a that still deal in old and new vinyl. Working on that theory I'd try someone in Adelaide that still stocks vinyl like Big Star on Magill Road. If you have any trouble Pseudo let me know and I'll get you the details of the shops over here that can get them for you.

Pseudo, have you tried the net?? (I googled one for my mate, I could get it in England for 22 quid) Or do you prefer to buy it here? Depends which JB hi-fi you go to I think- try ringing each store (you probably spoke to a girl on work experience). A mate of mine was recently looking for a new one, he said JB stock them, but not all stores stock them.
