Dave Grohl

I'm not a huge fan of the Foo Fighters (Monkey Wrench is their best), but Dave Grohl is one super talented bloke. I've always respected his talent, but I was just watching a Queens Of The Stone Age DVD (bonus one with 'Songs For The Deaf'), and his drumming in No One Knows is just brilliant. I'd have to say that he would have to be one of the most talented, if not the most talented, musos around over the last decade. Like I said, I'm not a big fan of the Fooey's, but that doesn't blind me to his talent.

I'm a big fan of his humour if not his music - the 'Footos' video is brilliant and the new one with the Asian Dave Grohl lookalike had me in stitches.
I'd buy their best of.

The man certainly is talented.
Would have liked to have seen them recently but did see them at the Thebby in '98 and the '03 Big Day Out.
Has done another offshoot project recently under the band title of "Probot". Don't know much about the project but I think it has something to do with him collaborating with little known groups that he admired in the '80's and early '90's who were never big names in their own right. My mate picked up a copy from Big Star and he assures me that he likes it.

Great muso, but have to say the last two Foo Fighters albums for me have been much for muchness. Saw him drumming with some band at Thebby in 1992. They weren't too bad either.

Agreed. I still rate the first album where Dave played Guitar, bass, drums and sang as one of my all time greatest albums.

im a huge Fooeys fan, Dave Grohl is an absolute gun
hes a brilliant musician, hes funny in his video clips, just good at everything he does, hes good mates with Jack Black too who is pretty cool
im not sure how many albums Probot have but i bought the first one which came out, i heard Grohl got bored and decided to write a metal album, so he did. i reckon its a pretty good album

jimmy i agree he should be an actor too, hes funny as in Low with Jack Black too and which song is it where he does a scene from Orange County (the jack black movie) Shaun! Shaun! Learn to Fly he plays about 8 different people and thats comical stuff

he also has some accoustic stuff which ive downloaded, some were on Letterman i think, like Tiny Dancer and Stairway to Heaven
