Went last time to Sydney but next year's line up is er, a little freaky. Smashing Pumpkins (what's left of them), Jesus and Mary Chain, Air, Queens of the Stoneage, The Presets and...um...Duran Duran! Not coming to Adelaide.

Jesus and Mary Chain would be worth seeing
Not forking out for a V festival ticket this year. Gonna hold off and see if J&MC are doing a side show.

I love JAMC too but fellas we have to admit it's probably 15 years since they did anything decent. Add to that the fact Smashing Pumpkins is just Billy Corgan and his drummer (who he previously sacked anyway) and Duran Duran are not exactly cutting edge (though I would probably go to a side show  ) ...it's a weird old timers' lineup! I like Air but I can't imagine they'd be all that exciting in a Festival setting.

Um... got a feeling they'll be playing the old stuff

Of course they will, that's what I meant. Like the Pumpkins and DD, JAMC's glory days are well and truly in their past. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, just a strange thing to built a modern-day festival around. I'm half expecting the Sex Pistols to be wheeled out next!
