Big Day Out 2008

Postby Dogwatcher » Wed Sep 19, 2007 5:52 pm

Rumours or requests anyone?

I'd heard a couple of weeks ago Rage Against the Machine were a chance.

Seems they are, announced an Australian tour, which is likely to include BDO.

I've also heard Foo Fighters and QOTSA will be back again.

The ONLY thing that would get me to next year's BDO is the rumoured Saints appearance. Even then I'd go to the side show.

FWIW a guy by the name of Peter (PC) Curnow passed away recently at the age of 50 after long battle with several health issues.
Far as I'm aware, he had a fair bit to do with the BDO arriving in Adelaide and the organisation of it during it's formative years.

F***!! No way!!! That sucks.
Him and his partner Di use to organise all the Lees West gigs in Adelaide including the BDO.
I use to see a lot of Pete when I was still in Adelaide. We went to see The Buzzcocks in 1994 and spent an hour waiting for the Buzzcocks to come on stage talking football - he was North man to boot!
RIP Pete

I'd definitely call VR rock.

I might not have said you were trippin though.

Which reminds me of a great 90s song by Push Push - "I was trippin out on youuuu!"
