I agree with that, for mine I'd take Hostile Ambient Takeover just over Houdini.

The DVD has FINALLY been released (and remastered) JB's will have it for $25. There is also a second DVD with the doco "Living on Dog Food" - a MUST see as well, as the original filmclip of Rooms for the Memory and other great stuff.

I wouldn't have thought you'd be in Michael Hutchence's corner LL? ;) I read a recent interview with Richard Lowenstein talking about how Hutchence did Dogs because he was craving credibility from the Melbourne post-punk scenesters which is probably about right. INXS was the first band I ever saw and adored them as a kid but I later thought how trapped he was as he outgrew them - and yet he never seemed to be able to break away and pursue his own muse which is kinda sad. Having said that, the Max Q album he did with Ollie Olsen (along with Rooms for the Memory) were the best things he ever did and still stands up today.

Bad Lieutenant - Never Cry Another Tear
Barney Sumner & Stephen Morris from New Order's new band. Not as crap as I thought it might be.

I DLd some of the mono remasters - they sound terrific, esp Sgt Peppers which brought back a lot of memories - my parents had the mono version that I used to listen to obsessively as a kid. Since then I got used to the stereo version but it sounds kind of weird in comparison. I'm planning to buy them when they come out on vinyl. Been playing the game (I've got blisters on my fingers!), watching the anthology again and reading a few music magazines with features on them. (My 3 year old daughter adores them and asks for Magical Mystery Tour or Rubber Soul most nights when she goes to sleep!). Every few years I overdose to the point that I never want to hear another Beatles song again...then the cycle begins again
