SOUNDWAVE 2012

Just arrived in NY for a week and one of the first people I spoke to was a dude out of Cro-Mags (name doesn't mean much to me sadly) who had just returned from playing Soundwave. He said the festival was awesome and that it was one of the best run festivals he'd experienced, esp in Adelaide. Had lots of praise for the guy who organised it there. Said it had been very profitable ($8 million I think he said) in a time that festivals aren't so healthy in Aus. He said the bands loved going 'back stage' in the Gaol...did a spooky night tour and thought it was pretty cool. That's my little story anyhoo

I agree, it would be amazing and it is disappointing when nothing comes of it.

I have no idea but I love them more than any other band and if they played I'd go to pretty much to see them.

Imagine if Rage Against the Machine were to do Soundwave? That would be sick, I'd love to see someone like them jump on board the Soundwave bandwagon.

Heard that At the Drive-In are reuniting or reforming, that would be a good get for Soundwave. I would love to see Rancid come back to Oz and play a soundwave or preferably their own tour aswell

Pearl Jam are touring Europe this July/August and they normally tack on OZ 6 months after this......Soundwave anyone??

Pearl Jam would be more a BDO band I would've thought and pretty sure NIN retired from touring a few years ago.

Might be old news to some but just on the triple MMM website and there's talk of The Offspring playing at next years Soundwave or the Big Day Out. Soundwave 2013 might also include Linkin Park and Blink 182.
