Incredible show, I loved it. My Hero was amazing as was White Limo, Rope and Alandria were great too. I was very surprised with them playing All My Life first up.

The only downside I had was having two women (who were very good looking mind you) sitting next to me complaining and rabbling on all night, good thing the music was quite loud because luckily only for a little bit of the show I could hear them.

Possible Setlist, not sure if its 100% accurate:

All my life
Rope
The Pretender
My Hero
Lean To Fly
White Limo
Alandria
Breakout
Cold Day In The Sun
Long Road To Ruin
Stacked Actors
Walk
Monkey Wrench
Let It Die
These Days
This Is A Call
Best of You
Wheels
Times Like These
Generator

My Hero had the hairs on my neck standing up.....or maybe that was just the cold breeze

Had a couple of older people prancing around like school kids. Thank Christ they moved around a bit then eventually tired out.

More importantly how were Tenacious D? :)

I might have gone seen them if they didnt have the Foo Fighters supporting them!

Almost stole the show to be honest.

Hard to take Jack Black seriously at times. As far as accomplished musicians go you would be hard pressed to find better. Drumming top class, excellent bass solo and the guitarist who looked like Cheech Marin was brilliant, altough stuck in the 60's.

Jack and Kyle sure know how to "rock out ******* hard!" too.

Two let downs for me :

The wanker next to us who yelled / talked to his mate for almost the entire show.

The sound. Could have been a little louder with vocals mixed in better, but on a nice night with a decent breeze and outside venue the sound desk was always going to be challenged.

Taylor and Dave both starting to look like ageing rock stars now, not the fresh faces they were but IMO, just behind Metallica, one of the best shows in the world.

Instances of restless dipsh*ts talking through most of the gig seem to be all too common for these large, “stadium” type of shows. Too many people go along just b/c it’s an “event” and they have mates going etc. Often a much better vibe at places like the Gov or even the Thebby.

Still, sounds like it was a good night. Everlong would have been an amazing climax…

Excellent point Saintal, that is a pet hate of mine, people going to some kind of show just because everyone else is there, but from what I saw and from where was there wasn't any of those sort of people, even better there were hardly any if any teeny boppers there, it was great.

Mind you though these types of people do make the bands/artists I love money which is not a bad thing at all.

Dave did suggest late in the show during an accoustic set that they might play "...that little theatre down the road again next time we're here....". Thebarton, I assume.

Would sell out 15 times over if they did!

*Edit*

We really should have caught up last night Ginge.Bugger.

I've already told Mrs Jase that both of the kids and her are getting sold so I can afford tickets for that Thebbie gig... Legit or scalped tickets are on the cards...

Is it possible the little theatre down the road he was referring to might be the Entertainment Centre?

Have FF ever played at AEC? As fas as I can recall it's always been the BDO, Thebby and now AO.
