Should have added Bob Dylan to my list too.
He might have written some great songs but I can't stand listening to him singing them.

Louise (We get it right) by Jona Lewie

I bet there is nobody here that can listen to the whole thing, but I remember that it was Adelaide's number one song for weeks on end in about 1980.
Yech!

anything produced by Stock-Aiken-Waterman owns "worst song ever" before that....

He had even worse songs than that.

'You'll always find me in the kitchen at parties' was worse but

'Stop the cavalry' was by far his worst effort. Both of those tunes makes Louise look like classic pop.

Bloody Bob Dylan got me kicked out of the Mile End Hotel one day during the eighties. The barmaid working there loved him and I said he was crap and from then on she wouldn't bloody serve me LOL. Off to the Royal I went....

SAW songs never had that ability to wriggle inside my head and just go around and around like the one above. I watched two minutes of it last night and it is in my head right now, that bloody chorus "Oh Louise Louise I love you I love you Oh Louise Louise blah blah blah" again and again and again! It is a shocker of the highest order! SAW songs are so ippy bippitty that they go in one ear and fall straight out the other, they are so harmless you can laugh at them. Not the Lousie song though. That needs a bloody toxic label on the sleeve.

I had a similar experience recently when I went to a houseparty in Adelaide. Was sitting in the lounge where they wanted to put a Bob Dylan DVD on.

I told them I thought Bob Dylan was shit and they said "na man, he's a legend." I challenged them to name five of his songs.

Couldn't do it. Got kicked out.

Thats a little harsh. Some great music has been made from 2000 until now.

Some of this great music has come from

Red Hot Chili Peppers
U2
Coldplay
Arctic Monkeys
The Kooks
The Kaiser Chiefs
And many, many more.

Pidge, please do not say Coldplay have made "great" music. I don't "mind" a couple of their songs, but no where near great.

LMAO@this forum. People sticking up for the carp released this decade while sledging one of the best Aussie Rock bands ever and the King of Rock and Roll himself. I will say I hate Jimmy Barnes solo stuff though.

Without Elvis there wouldn't even be rock. It took a White guy to get the Blues to our ears back in the early 50's.
