IRON SHEIKS 'Absolutely Sheik' CD released on
Exploding White Mice drummer Dave Bunney's 'Bastard' label
is basically a collection comprised of the two SHEIKS albums
'Do you sell beer here?' & 'Do you fancy me?'
plus tracks released by their follow up band 'BLOW'
...Highly recomended!

No kidding?

One of them was in a band with one of my old Uni mates, a year or two before the Cats started up.

I'm honestly surprised that anyone would remember them. I'd done my best to forget them.

Oi smithy - I tried to reply to your PM but I kept getting an error message, so here it is for all the world to see:

smithy

no, the guy I knew was called Darren, he was in a band called "The Nathans" with one of my mates. The highlight of their career was having the cops called to their first ever gig by some pissed-off neighbours. The cops simply told a bystander to tell the lead singer to get some lessons, and left again

They dont have the violinist anymore, which I think is better as Gemma has a really strong voice live.
