terrible line up for that sort of coin.
need at least one band that's in the 'f*ck yeah, can't wait to see them' category and then a few in the 'I like their work' bracket. no 'f*ck yeahs' for me.

I reckon I'll be going, I must have skimmed over CA's original post as I didn't realise My Chemical Romance were playing.
I'll be there to see them, Tool, the Killers and be interesting to see what the Violent Femmes are like these days.
Anyone else going?

2nd annoucement was made the other day. Even with Tool playing, this is the worst lineup I have ever seen. Was planning on going, but will be giving it a miss.

Oh god, not You Am I Again??? Every fricken year they seem to be on the bill. Put Something For Kate in that category too - ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz.

I was mildly excited when I saw Lily Allen was playing but of course then I found out Eastern states only. What a crock - worst lineup in eons.

I mean, really, the Violent Femmes? "C'mon Dad, give me the car tonight.." is gonna sound pretty lame coming from a 45 year old.

Once is more than enough - saw them with Split Enz, shit they're terrible.
$115 a ticket!
No Guns N' Roses as rumoured - that would have been cool!

If you've heard the new album, no, it's not cool..

If it was the real Gunners (Axl, Slash, Duff, Matt Sorum) then I'd be there in a flash. But bucket head just doesn't cut the mustard.

Haven't heard the new album, but no suprises that it smokes. With someone who wears a KFC bucket on their head in your band, you're bound to be shoite.

Bring back the real Gunners - use your illusion style!

Nothing wrong with You Am I! By March next year I will have seen them four times in about 8 months.

This is the best lineup for years. Good enough to sit and watch the main stage all day this year. Cant wait.

This will be my fifth BDO since 03, and easily the worst line up. In saying that, its always a good day, and the local stage always throws up a few surprises.

Muse and You Am I clashing is a real pain in the ass. Couldn't have got the time table more wrong there.

Also disappointed with the 15 min. clash with My Chemical Romance and Trivium.
But it will still be a good day

I don't think Buckethead is in GnR anymore. Did you read that extract from the book about him in the paper on the weekend? Pretty fruity dude. Buckethead claims he was raised by chickens and insisted Axl build him a coop in the recording studio, Brian Wilson style. Something like that. Nutters.

Precisely my point. And here they are...again. Aren't they at the silly car race too? I remember when they used to make decent albums - well the first one anyway.

The biggest line-up for the Big Day Out
(specially for the ladies) is waiting around to drain the bladder!
Fellas can always have a slash on the wall behind the dunny blocks if they're undoubtedbly chocka...
But by around 6:00pm that wall resembles nothing less than a a toxic waste dump!
So hold your breath & for f's sake don't trip over, unless you wanna contract Hepatitis A thru to Z!
:toimonster:
On that note, I highly recommend you see that Aussie made mockumentary
'KENNY'
See what life's like for the poor bastards who gotta clean & transport them portable thunda-boxes...
Funny as eh! :D

The toilet issue is why I enjoy getting a guest pass so much. It's bonzer.
Helps not having to queue for beers too!

Maybe an SA Footy meet up might be in order with the numbers from here going lol.

I'm not going this year but at previous BDOs I've always borrowed guest passes/wristbands from my mates.
Mainly to access the guest's bar... whoever's round it was, their turn to buy the beers.
By the end of the night the Guests wristband's totally cactus being wrapped around several punter's wrists
through the course of the day's debauchery!
