Would expect Jack White to feature as well - esp. "I'm Shakin" and "Love Interruption".
any likelihood of a Parkway Drive track or 2, or would metalcore be unlikely to make an appearance?

PS PLEASE not Psy.......

Of monsters and men will win,

Mackelmore, Tame Impala, Alt-J, Temper Trap, Frank Ocean, Florence, Disclosure, Rudimental, The Rubens and Icona Pop will all be up there

That's a fairly big sample size. Should be mostly correct especially at 1-20 end.

Thrift Shop has been overplayed, but it's a good song with an good message. Wouldn't be the worst #1 in the last 10 years.

No.

The song mocks today's brand/image conscious society and shits all over the easy listening crap that's previously taken out #1, ie. Augie March, Bernard Fanning, Angus & Julia Stone.

That being said, 'Same Love' which came in at #15 is a better song.

Well said but how many people will pick up on the messages both songs are trying to get out there? My guess would be not many....

Spot on heater, there wouldn't be too many people who would. Personally I get right into messages, lyrics and meanings of songs but I reckon not many people, especially my age and a bit younger or older would do the same.

Some do, some don't, but I'm not critiquing the listener.
