My first concert that I admit to in person was the 2006 Triple J One Night Stand in Port Pirie. The Living End was headlining.

But when I think about it more, I remember going to a Lee Kernaghan concert at Balaklava(?) as a kid. Wouldn't have been any older than 12 years old.

Public Enemy, Ice-T and Sound Unlimited Posse
Thebby Theatre, 1991.

Crowd heckled the absolute s#!t out of SUP from the very first song. The chick vocalist even flashed her boob at one point to win us over. But she just copped more grief coz those boobies were so small.

After the concert, the S1W's - PE's security - threw my mate's brother's mate head-first into a fence coz he got to close to Flava Flav. Blood everywhere. Flava went ballisitc at the S1's.

Then after the gig, everybody trashed the BP across the road, which made for a good "rap is evil and/a bad influence/corrupting our youth" story on the news the next day.

Memorable night.
Everyone can eat s#!t! A big bag of s#!t! I'm the greatest man in the world!

Poison at the Showgrounds touring "open up and say aah" around late '88 or early '89. Had to argue with an over protective mother who liked "both kinds of music. Country AND western" to go even though I was almost 18 and holding down a full time job at the time. Thankfully my concert choices improved a lot from there on. A mate of mine hates the fact that I saw Aerosmith in 1990 but he didn't. I remind him of that fact every now and then.

Cheers
