One band?

If you had the chance to see one band, and one band only, who would they be? Someone you have never seen, but would jump at the chance to see.

Without putting extra thought in, I'd have to agree with that. The live in Paris, NYC & London CD still gets a run at home after about 18 years of owning it - not many CD's stay in my rotation for longer than 6 months normally.

The Birthday Party.

I've seen Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds several times.

But to have seen The Birthday Party in full flight and at their nihilistic peak would be fantastic.

I knew you had to have one you 'toy wak fool'.
The only people I knew who liked BDP back in the day had a tag and enjoyed bombing up trains and buildings.

I on the other hand liked hip-hop, but was too 'toy' to have a tag. lol

I was lucky enough to have seen my "one band: earlier this year- Suffocation.
& they didn't disappoint.
I've seen Cradle of Filth, I've seen The Misfit(s) (Jerry Only by himself with Dez Cadena & Robo), Machine Gun Fellatio & Danzig.

I'd have to say Rancid (just ahead of the classic Misfits line up of Glenn Danzig, Doyle, Only & Robo/Googy on drums)

I would've said The The, but I had the good fortune to be in London when they (he?) played his only show there in 2000.

I'll say GG Allin. Not for the music, more for the performance:

"He is best remembered for his notorious live performances that typically featured wildly transgressive acts such as Allin defecating and urinating onstage, rolling in excrement, committing self-injury, performing naked, taunting people to perform fellatio on him, and violent actions toward the audience." (Wikipedia)

Classic Pseudo- I used to gave a GG Allin "Suicide Tour" t-shirt.
Classic shirt.
I reckon a "mate" of mine stole it from me when I was in Melbourne years ago.

You want to get beaten/recieve a golden shower?
Just attend a party held by a Sturt supporter...

PS favourite GG songs- God of Fire & Hell, I Wanna F**k Your Brains Out (of the EMF ep- Eat My Fu...)

I'll just nominate a more conservative one instead. Talking Heads, at CBGBs. anytime late 70s.
that would do me

I'll see you there. I will be waiting for The Ramones to come on.

I'd say
The Ramones at CBGBs (1975/76)
The Boys Next Door (Crystal Ballroom 1977/78)
The Clash (anywhere - 1977)
Dead Kennedys (anywhere - 1980)
Sex Pistols (anywhere - 1976)
The Stooges (anywhere - 1969)

Sorry can't narrow it down to one.

In fact, a 20-year membership of CBGB's would do me.
