Britney's comeback

Postby Plunge Penguin » Tue Sep 11, 2007 6:20 pm

For what its worth, thought the backlash she copped for it was pretty ordinary. Sure, it wasn't a great performance, but after everything over the past couple of years, could have been a lot worse. The real disgrace for mine, was the media beat-up about how bad she looked. For heaven's sake - great to see someone who didn't look like an undernourished stick in that outfit. Prefer women with some meat on them, and thought she looked great in it (yes, yes, bit of baby belly, but honestly...there is a HELL of a lot worse going around). She looked healthy and looked like she actually eats regularly, not like some of these ones going around...

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=294892 (picture of the performance)

Thoughts? Did the media get it right, or was there an element of tall poppy in it?

On her looks you are spot on. How many women would kill to look like that after having 2 kids.

FWIW I thought it was a car crash of a performance. Remember, this opened the Awards! Staggeringly hopeless. Cool song though ;)

About as many as would kill to look like that before kids

Can't say I'm a fan but I know when I was her age I wouldn't have complained if I'd looked like that

Fwiw...great to hear you fellas saying you prefer some meat on womens bones...makes my blood boil when I see the pressure put on young women and even kids to become 'stick insects'. It's still reckoned that Marilyn Monroe had the perfect figure and not a rib bone in sight  ...actually wouldn't mind looking like that either

Would have definately made for a better show!!

Can't see Britney ever getting rid of that white trash label. Ever since the world saw her bearded clam she's gone downhill.

Still looks good on stage though, even if she can't even mime properly.

LMFAO he has to be gay for started and a total wan*er for putting that on you tube. That is 100% pure classic crap and the footy show should show that this Thursday night because that is a rating winner for sure. I had a look at a few of his other Videos and he is more scary that Britney herself. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE
