Yes indeed. Acutally I was cranking the Awyuls' 10...1 and Diesel and Dust on vinyl last night (sorry neighbours) and after years of listening to them as MP3s and tinny CDs, I'd forgotten how incredible they sound, esp. 10...1

Bought some records from Big Star Marion today. Except it's not Big Star anymore. And it's not very good. :(

Hmm...I've forgotten. But it has 'wax' in the name. Like The Wax Factory or something like that.
Get the impression that once they run out all of Big Star's stock it seems like it's going to go in a more hip hop direction. Meh.

The record store i work at from time to time has the following second hand Church 12"s....

Sing Songs (Cover a bit worn - Record VG+ to M-) - $15
Blurred Crusade (Cover a bit worn but record VG+ to M-) - $15
Of Skins and Hearts (Again cover not great and record scuffed but no deep scratches) - $10

Anyone interested PM me.

Visited Big Star on Magill road last weekend and they have no plans of closing that store. All the closures have been to do with $$$ and the changing market. For instance, the Rundle Street store's rent was approx $120k per annum. Seems as tho peeps are happy to shop at inSanity and of course, downloads!

I went there yesterday, for the first time in eons - good vinyl prices, but not very much there I was interested in. Better CD selections but as much as I want to support a local store, they can't compete with online prices sadly. Bought a couple of 12"s and that was it :(

Supposedly a new independent record store specialising in local music called Clarity Records has opened up at 60 Pultney St.
