Went to The Promethean on Saturday night for a Variety Club "Kick in 4 kids" charity event and had a great night.
Small intimate venue with Grinspoons Phil Jamieson playing an accoustic set in front of about 120 people.
A young lad did a set to begin with and its poor form but I cant remeber his name, but he was great too.
Phil played for just over an hour and along with some covers played a heap of Grinspoon material. After he had
finished an encore was demanded by the crowd, only for Phil to come out smiling and say "Im out of songs..!"

Kills,Thrills and Sunday pills was his encore and everyone there I am sure enjoyed the night and all the coin going
to disabled kids made the event and the $$ raised a very good night. Well done to the organisers.

Phil ,although a little "tipsy" appeared "clean" and you could tell he enjoyed the gig and was happy to chat between songs
and Mrs.Boon, who loves Phil and Grinspoon, had her night made when she went and spoke to Phil and gave him a hug.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I brought "Six before midnight" yesterday.

Typical hardcore grinners album. Think it has 2 ballads and the rest is grinners at their hardocre best.

I liked it . thought it was bit long and some of the songs sounded very similar.

favourite tracks : dogs, innocence, tonight, takes one
