Yeah, they play a good chunk of mainstream international stuff, but it's hardly akin to the vapid manufactured pop you find on commercial radio. If I ever get tired of all the 'electro-house' or Aussie hip-hop I can always fall back on a heap of punk CD's that are guaranteed to please me ;)

I think Sex On Fire will most likely take out the No. 1 spot.

Also think these other songs (off the top of my head) will feature high up:

Pez - Festival Song
Drapht - Jimmy Recard
MGMT - Electric Feel
The Killers - Human
Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream
Kings of Leon - Use Somebody
The Living End - White Noise

White Noise is a very good choice! I forgot about that one and reckon it will make the top 3.

And on the topic of JJJ radio announcers - Robbie Buck is a LEGEND!

I generally leave internationals out of my voting and just go with the independent Aussie stuff, of which there is heaps to choose from.

What have Franz Ferdinand brought out over the last year?

I think they're about to release their new album.

Have just released the single 'Ulysses'. Goes something like:

I sit and hear sentimental footsteps
Then a voice says “hi, so?”
So what you got? What you got this time?
Come on, let's get high

I found a new way
So don’t amuse me
I don’t need your sympathy
Ulysses
I found a new way, I found a new way baby

Lady Ga-Ga may even crack the top 10 unfortunately. Without a doubt Kings Of Leon will have 2 songs in the top 5.

This is my top 5:

Use Somebody - KOL
Festival Song - Pez
Brianstorm - Artic Monkeys
Sex on Fire - KOL
White Noise - Living End

Also im unsure if Im Shipping Up to Boston - Dropkick Murphys is eligible but if it is it may get a fair run due to being oin The Departed and This Heart Attack - Faker would be up there if eligible.

A massive year for them thanks to a massive album.

Good point, and the Aussie acts always pole well! Their stand out would be "My People" id suppose, i may be wrong here, but did that track make last years JJJ100? It was on the J's for ages before it was picked up by commercial radio...

That Pez festival song also might go well.

Yep was in last years Top 100
