Issues was a brilliant album.

TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.

Was playing the best of Joy Division yesterday - such a great band - and I could hear a voice in the other room singing along to "Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance to the radio". That's a sign you married the right person. 8)

Parkway Drives two songs from the upcoming album are very different from their usual sound.

Both very good too.

In the last few weeks Spotify have introduced a playlist called Discover Weekly.

Basically it uses your listening habits to produce a playlist of songs that are either new, or older songs that you haven't listened to in a while.

It does a great job of mixing genres that I like and a mix of new and old songs.

Wow good suggestion Benny

I've never actually looked in the playlists part for new things. I usually try the radio part, and then end up having to find my own music.

yeah its pretty decent.

If you click on the "browse" section there are a few other playlists there too which arent bad - they change depending on the day etc.

I.e now it is showing "office mix" which is basically just a mix of inoffensive work songs.

On friday afternoon it showed another playlist which was all feelgood weekend type songs.
On Sunday afternoon it had "chilled out weekend" or something along those lines.

Usually then whenever i am listening and i find a song i like i just "tick" which then shows up in the songs section, so you basically have a playlist of songs you like for when you dont wanna listen to anything else.

depends on the mood i am in. This weeks Discover Weekly consists of Foo Fighters, Kaiser Chiefs, Amity Affliction, The Whitlams, Cold War Kids, The Hives, Flume, Disclosure, and Bloc Party.

Im guessing yours is more Amity than the Whitlams :D

Another decent playlist to find new music is the Triple J hitlist. They update it every month with new songs that they are playing. I listen to that more than the actual radio.
