Chi Cheng, former bass player for the Deftones, has passed away. He was 42.
Not much is known at this stage, but it is most likely related to the car accident he had in November, 2008.
Man, they kicked so much arse back in the day.
Rest in peace, bud.

Admittedly I was never a big fan of Deftones although my brother really liked them but it was really sad news when he had that car accident a few years ago.
I remember my brother saying he was making progress, FC?

That was somewhat true, Gozu.
Since the accident, he'd had several complications related to the injuries he sustained, such as septicemia and pneumonia. He never really progressed past a semi-conscious state, and only had very limited capabilities with speech and movement.
I was quite into their early stuff, but nonetheless, it's a tragedy.
