Played at our club last night and were great. Highly recommend them. Think they had a good time too.

What a ridiculous comment.

The bloke is looking for a band to play at his footy club, clearly a fund raiser or special event with the intent of getting numerous people, not just the footy club regulars, to the club.

So you suggest he picks a bunch of nobodys that nobody has ever heard of play nothing evenly remotely familiar to the group of people who have attended?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
