Radiohead to Release New Album Online: King of Limbs Drops Feb 19, Hits Record Stores May 9

Radiohead 'King of Limbs' Album Cover

Radiohead is releasing their eighth album, The King of Limbs, on February 19. You'll be able to download it in two different qualities from thekingoflimbs.com, but it won't be pay-what-you-want. Also, the track list is a closely-guarded secret: Thom Yorke and co. say that it won't be released until the new album is actually available.

For those who want a physical artifact, that's cool: wait until May 9, and you can get the King of Limbs "newspaper album", consisting of a CD, hundreds of pieces of artwork, and two vinyl records. You'll also be able to download the online version. The newspaper album ain't cheap, though: $48-$53, depending on which digital quality you select. That said, the box set for In Rainbows was more expensive, and there was no shortage of buyers.

TRACKLIST
Bloom
Good Morning Mr Magpie
Little By Little
Feral
Lotus Flower
Codex
Give Up The Ghost

What do people think? I'm a bit disappointed early but hopefully it's a grower. Right now the paltry 8 songs sound like a bunch of B Sides - certainly nothing terrible but nothing that immediately leaps out either. In Rainbows really got me back into this band but right now I'm still scratching my head...

Agreed. I think Lotus Flower Little By Little and Good Morning Mr Magpie are Ok. Codex has a nice melody.

The rest is pretty flat.

Thom sounds great and he has penned some very good lyrics.

Apart from that............

In Rainbows is alot better album.
