Reynella Juniors v Happy Valley Juniors

OK, help needed, my son's decided he wants to start playing club football.
He's 9, turning 10 in July and already has a couple of years school experience and luckily the lad has a lot more talent than his old man ever did (he's already kicked more than 20 goals than I did in my entire career!)
We've narrowed it down to the two closest club (Shoeboy will have a fit when he reads this) in Reynella and Happy Valley.
(We live near the Kenihan Rd shops in Happy Valley so Reynella is actually a lot closer distance for me to stumble home drunk)
I hate black and white and I hate black and yellow so colours wont come into it.
Just wondering what people' opinions and experiences with the juniors grades are at both clubs and if anyone has some recommendations and/or contacts.
Also info on the age groups and when and where they play would be good as well as when training starts and is run too.
Cheers.

Crikey, I knew that was coming but 6 minutes?
Sorry mate, just too far to go, I need somewhere I can stumble home from, the days of driving home drunk from the Shoe are long passed.
The Shoe really lucked out as they got the Wedgie with no talent.
At least the lad is tied to South Adelaide, I think I'd move if I lived in the Glenelg area. ;)

Go to the flies, short distance from the H.Valley shops! great successful junior setup over the last decade or so. Im sure someone here could give you a good contact to ring. Or ring the club on:

1 Oval Rd
Reynella SA 5161

p: (08) 8381 3076

e: info@reynellafc.com.au

Great cricket club their too - which now plays in the turf comp!

Personally I think both H.Valley and Reynella are great clubs with excellent facilities and strong junior programmes. You couldn't go too wrong either way Wedgie.

On a serious note you are spot on. Both clubs have strong juniour set up's and you coulnt go wrong either way.

Wedgie do you know that Justin Calderbank is involved at Valley this year coaching B grade.

I'd have to stay around and put some money into the club. ;)

Actually I forgot to ask the most important question, do both clubs have Pale Ale on tap?

don;t reckon Reynella does, cheap to buy stubbies though! or you can be like the stingy M.V supporters who make a habit of sneaking in the back entrance with eskies full to the brim ..... isnt that right ZC!

Both have Pale Ale Stubbies available, Happy Valley cheaper, Reynella is as dear as Morphett Vale
We could start another forum about beer prices as they differ from $3 to $5 around clubs.

If you narrowed it down to those two, and Happy Valley is within your distance range, why dont you consider Flagstaff Hill as well? Extremely close to Valleys, and without doubt would have a better junior setup/record in the past...

Why?
If they save me having to buy it for him, surely that's a selling point! :D
